Starting: Move the choke control cable to the "ON" position Customer: Honda GCV160 auto choke lawnmower about 3 years old, Surging and smoking a lot, Check and replace the Spark plug, Clean the carburetor, Muffler full of oil, Clean the muffler runs better but still surges but under load it dies Anyone have experience with the auto choke return? The one on the newly inherited GCV160 is very lazy to return after.

The infamous GCV160 AutoChoke. Once the engine is warm, move the choke lever to the "OFF" position When I start it, it just run very rough and black smoke because the choke is not opening
